Issue
How do you make Google Search feel culturally relevant to a younger UK audience? Especially one glued to reality TV and influencer content, not product demos or tech specs.
Idea
We moved fast. Within days of the 2022 Love Island finale, we brought the winning couple into a homegrown social series: Saved by the Search. A light-hearted, influencer-led take on real-life moments where Google comes to the rescue (no scripts, no hard sell, just charm, relatability, and a touch of chaos).
Impact
Without paid media we had record-breaking engagement, massive brand love, and Google's most successful influencer-led content to date. Proof that even the nation's sweethearts get saved by the Search.
